‘Mobile Care Monitoring provides nurses with more detailed, more person centred, quicker and easier reports, and reduces paperwork time and costs.’Monika Gilice
Mobile Care Monitoring enables carers and nurses to evidence care quicker and easier than written daily records, along with care planning. Carers and nurses who were not used to using a touchscreen device when the system was introduced in 2013 were given support by Person Centred Software to feel confident recording care electronically.
How we helped
Monika Gilice, the registered manager says that ‘Mobile Care Monitoring provides nurses with more detailed, more person centred, quicker and easier reports, and reduces paperwork time and costs.’ Nurses no longer have to write daily care plans since the data exists on the system already. Other care staff have seen savings in time too: Nurse Lenka Muir said that ‘recently when a carer performed an enema, I didn’t have to go and check if it was a good result afterwards as I could see on MCM.’ By reducing time spent on documentation, carers and nurses say that they can spend more time with residents, which is who Monika says matters most.
Monika believes that Mobile Care Monitoring is ‘a great product and is the way forward for care managers.’ It has manifold benefits for care managers as they will know when care is being delivered and by whom; it will bring peace of mind as they know care is being evidenced quickly and efficiently at point of delivery; and reports are detailed and quick to run and it is much quicker finding evidence on Mobile Care Monitoring, making it fantastic for CQC inspections.
