Measure and compare quality and performance

Driving Outstanding Care

Person Centred Software in collaboration with T-DAB (The Data Analysis Bureau) have combined market leading electronic care records with expertise in data analysis tools to bring Care Sector Benchmarking, a tool to enable care providers to measure and compare quality and performance indicators, to both internally within their communities and/or against homes and communities across the sector.

Who is it for?

The Care Sector Benchmarking module is aimed at any provider from a single care home operator and right up to the largest of corporate providers or brands. Typically the type of persona that would use the Care Sector Benchmark tool are anyone from mangers, regional teams, operations teams and owners – who have an interest in benchmarking performance of their service(s) to understand how they stack up against the average across the sector or their own estate.

What is Care Sector Benchmarking?

Mobile Care Monitoring is used in over 2,000 locations across the UK with the majority of organisations providing care to the elderly population. The benchmarking tool provides a series of dashboards displaying insights into key quality and performance indicators.

Care providers will be able to compare their own communities trends to that of others in their own organisation and/or against the aggregated data of similar profile of communities across a large user base that is representative of the care sector.

Organisations will be able to drill-down into their own data, but all other data is completely anonymous.

Care Sector Benchmarking includes the following benchmarking capabilities:

  • Weight loss analysis
  • Weight loss status/category
  • Weigh measurement compliance page
  • Falls by month
  • Falls by time of day
  • Falls by location in the home
  • Fall severity
  • Deaths
  • Covid-19 testing

We plan to extend the KPIs available in the Care Sector Benchmarking and intend to provide measures that are in-line with what the market determines as standard to measure. Other planned reporting domains include pressure injuries, urinary tract infections, continence and hydration/nutrition.

What are the benefits of Care Sector Benchmarking?

  • Provide insight into trends for key performance measures
  • Demonstrate a well-led service
  • Identify areas for potential service improvement
  • Understand risk exposure
