Person Centred Software is excited to announce the launch of #GladtoCare Awareness Week in Australia! This week-long event, scheduled to take place from 20th May to 24th May 2024, aims to recognise and applaud the invaluable efforts of those working in the aged care industry.
#GladtoCare Awareness Week seeks to highlight and appreciate the dedication of aged care workers and express gratitude for the exceptional effort carers invest in the lives of residents on a daily basis. This initiative promotes awareness and appreciation for the remarkable aged care staff who contribute to the well-being and quality of life of their residents.
The packed week of activities is designed to inspire people to get involved and engage in any way possible, aiming to bring the aged care community and residents together. From Motivation Monday to Feel Good Friday, #GladtoCare Awareness Week promises to create positive experiences and celebrate the remarkable work being done in aged care.
To participate in this year's #GladtoCare Awareness Week, anyone in the aged care sector can sign up and receive their very own #GladtoCare Toolkit. This free toolkit is packed with resources and materials to help everyone make the most of the week's celebration. In addition, this campaign also acts as a fundraising event to raise funds for Person Centred Software Australia’s charity of the year, CommonAge.
CommonAge, the Commonwealth Association for the Ageing, is a charity that promotes excellence in aged care and facilitates links between the Commonwealth and practitioners to understand common challenges better and share knowledge across the globe.
Mansur Dalal, CommonAge Chair says: “The #GladtoCare campaign is putting the spotlight on care, and is about recognising and celebrating the outstanding work being done to support some of the most vulnerable in our society to live the best life they can. We are very honoured Person Centred Software has selected us to benefit from this vital campaign. As all our Board members, ambassadors and supporters are working pro bono, giving freely of their expertise, time and resources, every dollar raised will go directly to supporting our work. We are very much looking forward to joining our Australian colleagues in this campaign as we work to ensure older people are fully recognised in society and are supported and enabled to live well in an all-age friendly Commonwealth.”
Johan Jardevall, Chief Executive Officer, Person Centred Software, adds: "We are thrilled to bring #GladtoCare Awareness Week to Australia and celebrate the hard work and dedication of aged care workers. It's an opportunity to engage and appreciate the amazing individuals who make our aged care communities better. We invite everyone to be part of this incredible event and show their support by signing up for #GladtoCare Awareness Week."
