The past month has been a whirlwind of activity for our team, as our calendar brimmed with a diverse range of industry events, all centred around Aged Care & Retirement Living.
From engaging forums and enlightening conferences to intimate private luncheons and dinners, and even exclusive collaborative events with esteemed partners like KPMG, we have been fully engaged in the industry’s activities and developments.
These events have served as a valuable platform for us, to spend time listening and collaborating with Industry Leaders, allowing us the opportunity to ensure not only our current but future comprehensive digital solutions will continue to empower seniors housing operators to make a meaningful impact on the ever-evolving Australian ageing sector.
Below are some highlights from the array of events we have actively participated in and contributed to.
Property Council of Australia State-based Retirement Living Events
Our team had the privilege of attending the state events organised by the Retirement Living Council—part of the Property Council of Australia—across various cities including Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.
We were extended the invitation to participate in recognition of our role as Award Sponsors for the highly acclaimed National Retirement Living Awards, a distinguished program that honours excellence in every facet of Australia's retirement living sector.
This year, Person Centred Software is proudly sponsoring the 'Salesperson of the Year' award category, which specifically acknowledges exceptional sales performance in promoting and selling retirement living units/apartments within one or more retirement villages.
Notably, our very own Retirement Living Executive, Jodie Prosser, not only served as a judge for these awards but also had the privilege of unveiling the regional finalists for the Salesperson of the Year award at each event!
The ultimate winner from each region will vie for the National Award, the crowning moment of which will take place during the prestigious National Retirement Living Awards Gala Dinner set to be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025, in Brisbane.
ITAC Conference
Our team attended and showcased our offerings at the Innovation Transforming Aged Care (ITAC) Conference, which was organised by Ageing Australia and held at the iconic Marvel Stadium in Melbourne.
This highly anticipated conference serves as a premier platform for unveiling and celebrating innovation across the aged care, community care, retirement living, and seniors housing sectors, drawing together influential thought leaders, catalysts of change, and industry pioneers to exchange insights aimed at enriching the quality of care, optimising operational efficiency, and enhancing the lives of older Australians.
Throughout the event, a myriad of compelling topics were extensively explored and discussed, including:

✔️ Digital Transformation in Health and Aged Care
✔️ Workforce and Skills Development
✔️ Information Governance and Risk Management
✔️ Artificial Intelligence (AI) Applications
✔️ Technology Integration and Synergy
✔️ Future Technologies and Sustainability
Adam Parsons, our Head of Customer Support & Product Manager, was an active participant in this immersive experience. He had the privilege of engaging with our customers, addressing their queries, and introducing them to our comprehensive product range. The event also provided a platform for insightful conversations, fostering valuable discussions on how we can further support our existing customers and connect with potential clients seeking to enhance their operating systems.
Private Dinner in partnership with Russell Kennedy
In collaboration with Russell Kennedy, we had the privilege of extending exclusive invitations to 20 of our esteemed Retirement Living clients for a private dinner at the Lotus Barangaroo restaurant in Sydney. This unique occasion coincided with the annual Leaders Summit, drawing numerous industry professionals to Sydney, and providing the perfect opportunity for us to curate an evening of enriching conversations.
The Leaders Summit
As proud Bronze Sponsors of the annual Leaders Summit held at the prestigious Hyatt Regency Sydney, we joined over 500 C-suite delegates for two days of insightful discussions and networking opportunities. Our CEO, Johan Jardevall, made a special trip to Australia to participate in this significant event, accompanied by Director Tammy Sherwood and Retirement Living Executive Jodie Prosser.
The event underscored the critical need for the Aged Care and Retirement Living sectors to prioritise 'wellness' and reablement strategies in response to the impending surge in the over-80 population. With Baby Boomers expected to surpass available workforce capacity, preventative measures such as proactive care initiatives are deemed essential by industry leaders to address the increasing demand for care, services and support.
The Aged Care Royal Commission recommended the implementation of wellness and reablement programs to enhance the physical, mental, and social well-being of older individuals, with the new Support at Home manual confirming these as core elements of the program starting on July 1.
DCM Group CEO Chris Baynes urged the Aged Care and Retirement Living sectors to take charge in addressing the escalating demand for care, services and support amid a fixed supply of home care and residential aged care. He also highlighted the potential role of retirement villages in providing aged care services and/or suites and emphasised the importance of technology and early intervention in meeting the growing duty of care to residents.
We had a fantastic time reconnecting with our customers at our booth and engaging with prospective clients interested in exploring our innovative digital solutions.
PCS x KPMG Exclusive Events
In collaboration with our partner, KPMG Australia, we curated two exclusive events in Sydney and Melbourne, extending invitations to both prospective clients and customers. These events served as platforms to spotlight our strategic vision, product roadmap, and collaborative partnerships, and garnered interest from over 50 industry professionals.
During these events, our CEO, Johan Jardevall, unveiled our pioneering Care Performance Management System—an integrated suite comprising tools, products, and data insights designed to empower providers in delivering, monitoring, and enhancing care quality. This innovative system equips managers and staff to effectively track performance, ensure compliance, and elevate resident well-being, fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and continual improvement.
