Inspection Report

‘The home used an electronic care planning system that showed risk assessments had been carried out on all potential areas of risk, for example nutrition, hydration, moving and handling, choking, falls and continence.’

‘There was an electronic care planning system in place which gave staff information on all aspects of each person’s health, personal care and social needs. Staff had access to each care plan at all times through the use of hand held devices, and they were able to update daily notes throughout the day using these devices. Care plans and risk assessments were regularly updated. A relative told us they had received “Updates last month. If there are any changes they tell me what they intend to do”. Staff had responded to a relative’s requests by providing access to documents so that they could check how often the person received care, for example repositioning.’
