Spearheaded by Person Centred Software, Oomph Wellness (which is now part of Person Centred Software) and Autumna, three major players in the care industry, are delighted to announce their 4th consecutive year hosting #GladtoCare week that will take place on Monday 12th to Friday 16th June 2023.
2023's theme is 'Wellbeing', all part of Person Centred Software's Oomph Wellbeing and Activities Platform. Participants will be invited to join in with a variety of fun and innovative activities throughout the week, designed to get the entire care community and its residents involved.
Supporting The Care Workers’ Charity

Person Centred Software has worked alongside The Care Workers' Charity for many years and values its work to support carers. Wellbeing Wednesday, it looks as though Person Centred Software have thought of everything - we'll be throwing it back to the groovy 70s with a dance class. These downloadable classes on the Oomph Demand Platform are easy to access and really know how to keep you in high spirits.
Thankful Thursday, we all know that care providers work long hours, so what better way to say thank you than to dedicate an entire day to them? Thankful Thursday isn't just for residents to show their appreciation but for all of us to let them know how appreciated they are. Share your videos and spread the word.
Feel Good Friday, Pete Cann, The Laughter Man, will be holding a Canned Laughter Live Yoga Session to end the week on a high. Pete is on a joyful quest to spread the advantages of laughter throughout the world.
The organisers hope to continue highlighting the extraordinary commitment of care providers who go above and beyond to keep residents safe, content, and entertained. It aims to highlight their outstanding work while giving them a chance to exclaim how happy they are to work in the care industry.
Person Centred Software's marketing team member Yolanda has said:
"I thoroughly enjoy organising GladtoCare and last year demonstrated how shining a light on the incredible work that carers do makes such a difference. This year's theme of 'Wellbeing' couldn't have come at a better time. We want to maintain the momentum that self-care is more important than ever. Doing the things you enjoy can change your perspective on life. We hope you enjoy the newly added Oomph activities and have a wonderful week."
All care homes will be able to take advantage of a free #GladtoCare digital toolkit, including decorative bunting, display posters, social media graphics, and a bespoke activity calendar full of ideas for getting its residents involved.

About The Care Workers’ Charity
The Care Workers' Charity has been working hard to support care workers through times of crisis by supplying financial support, providing access to services and signposting resources. They are the only benevolent fund for paid care workers in the UK.
Care Workers are among the UK's lowest-paid workers, yet they play a vital role in our ageing society. The Care Workers' Charity aims to promote parity of esteem with health, campaign and raise awareness of social care and provide insight into the issues affecting care workers.
Supporting care workers has a ripple effect within the social care sector and our society. Without care workers, those who rely on care and their families would suffer, and in turn, our national health system would struggle further and become more under strain.
The CWC grants have supported many care workers to stay in the sector when times get tough. Since 2020 they have supported over 8900 care workers with over £5 million in grants.
