CASPA adds Fifth Objective to the Association

CASPA-LOGO

The Care Software Providers Association today reaches 56 members, which helps ensure CASPA can achieve the original objectives of the association:

  • The promotion and continued growth of the use of digital technologies in the social care sector to improve the quality of care delivered;
  • Promoting advances in the digital information flow across social care to provide openness and transparency of care being provided;
  • Lobbying parties outside social care to improve the digital information flow between social care and others, in particular the NHS;
  • Creating standards, such as those for electronic information transfer, where such standards do not currently exist.

CASPA’s strong membership has given the confidence to the association to add a fifth objective of “Creating a framework to assist in providing service continuity for members customers”.

CASPA is a UK based independent, not-for-profit association focused on maximising the use of digital technology to improve the quality of care in social care, and has been instrumental in showcasing  electronic transfer of care information between social care and the NHS. CASPA strives to implement legislation and regulatory guidelines within the industry where such standards do not currently exist.

Membership is available to companies involved in the provision of software to the care sector. Members of CASPA benefit from having a central point of contact on issues facing the industry and the association will represent members when bringing suggestions to the government and other industry bodies.
