PainChek, the world’s first smartphone pain monitoring and assessment technology, has partnered with Person Centred Software, its first international distributor. Person Centred Software will distribute PainChek® to its UK client base and has integrated with PainChek® to provide a joined-up solution for care providers to monitor pain in people who are non-verbal, such as people living with dementia. As 70% of people living in care homes have dementia in the UK, PainChek® is a valuable tool for care providers to monitor residents’ pain.
Using AI and facial recognition technology, PainChek® provides carers across multiple clinical areas with the ability to identify the presence and quantify the severity of pain when pain isn’t obvious. Already completed integration will seamlessly feed the information captured in PainChek® into Person Centred Software’s Mobile Care Monitoring system, an intelligent mobile solution for evidencing care interactions, electronic care planning, reporting and analysis. Integration to care plans and assessments help carers to personalise resident care plans and monitor pain.
