High-tech tool to be used with dementia residents

A new care home is using the latest mobile tech in a bid to lead the way in dementia care.

Worthington Lake, in Standish, has implemented Person Centred Software's new Who I Am capability as part of Mobile Care Monitoring, an advanced electronic care planning, monitoring and reporting system. It gives carers details about residents' routines, their life story and wishes to help to provide responsive and personalised care.

Home manager Ann Sheward said: "Staff can record care in real-time on the mobile device and all the information they need to deliver personalised care is available at the touch of a button. These personalised routines are vital as they help residents to maintain their daily functions and minimise anxiety."
