Residents living at Roseberry Care are to benefit from new specialist wellbeing activities to enhance their physical and emotional health as part of a partnership with PCS Wellness, the UK’s leading wellbeing provider for the care sector.
Created by experts in wellbeing, mental health, dementia and nutrition, Person Centred Software's Wellness & Activities Platform is being provided to Roseberry Care’s 28 homes nationwide.
The Wellness & Activities Platform will enable Roseberry Care residents to take part in wellbeing activities created for them based on their own personal needs and interests, enabling increased activity engagement, and helping to maintain a sense of individual identity.
The Wellness & Activities Platform is accessed via digital devices and is easy for both carers and residents to use at any time of day. Activities range from exercise such as chair yoga and ballet or relaxation programmes, to entertainment, singing, interactive quizzes, cooking and special interests, such as learning a language, a virtual tour visit or music concerts.
The whole-home approach adopted by the Wellness & Activities Platform means that, alongside care teams creating bespoke programmes of wellbeing activities to run with residents, family members and residents themselves can enjoy using the platform's activities at any time of day.
As well as enriching residents’ lives, the Wellness & Activities Platform will enable Roseberry Care to maximise the amount of quality time staff are able to spend with residents and empower individual residents by giving them choice about how they choose to spend their time.
PCS Wellness' wellbeing activities and content is created by expert instructors and partners, including ZooLab, Sensory Alliance, Fit for Good and Instructor Live amongst others.
Quality of life is the cornerstone of all that we do so bringing the Wellness & Activities Platform into our homes really supports this philosophy.
The Roseberry Care group is owned and operated by staff with a significant level of clinical expertise and we place a high value on specialists, so the Wellness & Activities Platform was the natural choice to bring in to provide resident wellbeing.
Great care is taken to ensure that every day we provide a relaxed and enjoyable environment. Exercise and stimulating activities are so important to our physical and mental wellbeing and so being able to give residents wellbeing activities that are personalised to them and adapted to meet their needs will improve quality of life.
