Care homes from across the UK are once again being invited to take part in the #GladtoCare competition run by Person Centred Software, InteractiveMe and Sporting Memories.
This year, the competition will be focused on finding and sharing care home residents' favourite memories.
This comes after the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) updated its quality standard on dementia care, to include the recommendation that people with dementia are offered activities to promote their wellbeing. One of these activities is reminiscence therapy, which aims to invoke memories to reduce dementia-related aggression.
